Before midyear 2003, we anticipate creating a searchable database of over 4,000 records of Trichoptera and over 1,500 Plecoptera records. These records will confirm the county records on this Web site. A CD searchable database will have the site and location of collections, date of collection, male-female ratio (if available), physiographic province, and drainage basin, along with other ancillary data. The plan is to be able to locate a stream within a county and determine what species are on the wing at specific sites for a range of dates. This user-friendly database will be offered for a minimal cost as we are a non-profit organization, so the proceeds will go to recover some of our expenses and to hire assistants to help us maintain the database and Web site. We hope to update the database after our initial production so we can accommodate changes that may be necessary after extensive review by all the users.
To better assist in the design of our data base to reflect your interests we are asking you to complete the survey below. Some of you have offered pictures, and at this time we would like to see what is available and determine how we can incorporate these images.
